Bogie Bolster wagon No.57949, built in 1944

SR Bogie Bolster 57949

Richard Salmon, 1998

Principally used as an engineers' wagon for carrying rails, they can be used for any long load, and indeed on the Bluebell our bo-rails have been used to transport extracted/felled tree trunks.

More photos and details about this wagon are to be found on the page for its partial re-planking, which was undertaken in 2008.
