This 4-wheeled guards brake van built in 1937, and know in later days as a "BY", has been used as a passenger brake van on the Bluebell. It was however fitted with a diesel generator some years ago, and has deteriorated since. It is now used for storage, and in the longer term, as our fourth (and worst) BY may provide an underframe for a vintage 4-wheel coach.
